(Updated 06/01/19)
We are a reformed Baptist Church located in the southwest Kendall area of Miami, Florida. By reformed we mean that we embrace and faithfully teach those historic biblical doctrines of grace as presented in the scriptures and expounded by those well known reformers of the past.
At the same time we are dispensational in our manner of Bible interpretation, by which we mean that we take a consistent, literal-historical-grammatical method of interpreting and understanding what the Bible means by the words and sentences that it uses.
We hold the scriptures to be the absolute, accurate, literal, inerrent, and complete body of information, given by inspiration of God through human writers, for the revelation of His will to all humanity. As such, it is the only reliable and authoratitive source of information concerning the eternal and spiritual conditions of both God and man. Therefore, teaching and rightly understanding those scriptures, as well as putting them into practice, for the ultimate glory of God, is of the highest concern to our church.
We are firmly committed to the teaching of the whole Bible, chapter by chapter and verse by verse. This is called expositional teaching. We don't just pick a few favorite sections and then repeat them over and over again, while skipping over, or intenionally minimizing, the ones that command us to repent of our sins and submit ourselves wholly to the Lordship authority of Jesus Christ.
It was Jesus himself who declared that the Narrow Gate was the only one that leads to eternal life, (Matt 7:13-14) so, let us not be led astray like the multitudes, but rather strive along with that chosen few to enter into His eternal kingdom through it. (Luke 13:23-24)
"For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. (Titus 2:11-14)
